Accelerating Enterprise’s Effectiveness – Automating IT Services Without Increasing Cost

Yesterday morning, Alcatel-Lucent unveiled new software defined networking (SDN) technologies for the OmniSwitch Ethernet LAN portfolio of its Enterprise division that will help companies meet the increasing demands of employees and customers to use the applications they want, when and where they want to use them.

The natural intersection between Network and Application Orchestration allows customers to realize superior value in network services and end to end traffic management.  The ability to automate all aspects of IT services while aligning to business goals without increase in cost is accelerating Enterprise’s effectiveness in the market.  Alcatel-Lucent announces OpenFlow support and OpenStack integration with Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch tackling the provisioning and automation of critical end to end services enabling workforce mobility, application fluency and security, ensuring quality of experience while containing cost.

Radware and Alcatel-Lucent have proven a best of breed use case that employs Radware’s DefensePro Attack Mitigation System to characterize users, attacks and real-time signatures that are exported for line rate mitigation in the OmniSwtch via RestAPI.  As a Cyber security defense leader Radware is proving over and over that via SDN, network and application orchestration, complete application lifecycles can be automated, optimized and metered, resulting in better services at lower cost.

Radware goes further to give back to OpenSource communities like OpenDaylight and OpenStack making “DDoS for All” and “LB-as-a-Service” a reality for everyone.  Offering native applications easily expanded into large scale commercial services offers Radware an opportunity to lead markets with important partners like Alcatel-Lucent, NEC, IBM and more.
